San Diego Comic-Con International
The one and only San Diego Comic-Con International is just around the corner and I will be attending. Also in attendance? Blizzard Inc. I doubt that they will give away too much in swag and information (especially with BlizzCon just a few weeks after it) but if there is a conference I will be right there and report back. I'm looking forward to see their exhibit not just for Starcraft but for Warcraft also.
Protoss Section Up
The Protoss section of the official Starcraft 2 website is up. Here you can look at some of the units and buildings. Nice little gameplay icons to hear what they will sound and look like. I'll post an update when the other two are up. But as of right now it is just the Protoss.
Tychus Findlay Limited Edition Statue
To commemorate the announcement Blizzard is releasing a limited edition statue. Want it? You have to fork over 249.99 US Dollars. I'm already on the wait list so get on it. The wait list is probably going to get real long so get on it as quick as you can. The way the wait list works is it operates on a first come first serve basis. So if someone ahead of you doesn't want it anymore or their credit card fails they will notify you for a chance to get one. So hurry! Chances are the wait list is growing as we speak!!! It is estimated to ship October 2007.
Don't get your hopes up that this is also the date or month of the game release. It has been stated before that Starcraft 2 will not be released in 2007.

Story
So Starcraft 2 is going to pick up where Brood War left off. 4 years to be exact. It will feature some recognizable faces such as Zeratul, Sarah Kerrigan and Jim Raynor. You will be able to visit old worlds such as Char and Braxis, along with new worlds, such as the jungle planet Bel'Shir. The Xel'Naga and the Terra Dominion will also be featured in the game. The 3 original races will be in play (Protoss, Terran, Zerg) but it has been officially stated that they will not be adding new races. Who knows. Maybe Blizzard has some tricks up their sleeves.
If you want to get yourself ready for the release make sure you computer is up to par. Stracraft is being released on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Mac OS. Don't worry you have a lot of time. Even though there is no release date it has been stated that it will not be released in 2007. So start saving your pennies.

The main storyline follows a war among three galactic species: the adaptable and mobile Terrans, who are descendants of Human outcasts from Earth, the hive mind arthropodic Zerg, and the psionic humanoid Protoss warriors.
StarCraft was the best-selling computer game in 1998 and won the Origins Award for Best Strategy Computer Game of that year. Nine million copies of StarCraft and its expansion pack, StarCraft: Brood War, have been sold since its release, making it the second best-selling computer game in history (behind The Sims). It is especially popular in South Korea, where professional players and teams participate in matches, earn sponsorships, and compete in televised matches.[4]
A sequel, StarCraft II, was announced on May 19, 2007.
